Our Progress in January 2017

Our Progress So Far...

FFG formed in April 2016 to improve our park and the surrounding green space.
After finding out we have secured some more funding for planting, we've now raised an impressive £11,769 so far and we're working hard to raise a lot more (any ideas or help always welcome!)

New Benches & A Wobble Board!

Our two new benches have now been installed, one in the toddler area and another outside the park so dog walkers can sit and watch their children and dogs at the same time!

We've added a new wobble board after the old one was removed some time ago.

The roundabout and large slide have also been fixed!

Let us know if anything else is broken using our Facebook page.
We need your help to organise an Easter Funday!

FFG are organising an Easter Funday at the park, but we need help to plan it!

If you can help with any of the below, please email us or message us on our Facebook Page

Planning and Preparing the event - ideas for stalls, games, activities, helping book things we need for the day

Running a stall - food, games, jumble etc

Baking / Cooking food for us to sell on the day

Running a game / activity

Promoting the day - putting posters around the area / Brighton / social media)

Raffle Prizes - do you own a business or know someone who has a service / product they may donate as a raffle prize?

Green Fingered?

We're setting up a work group of volunteers who want to help plant flowers around the park, so if you want to help, email us friendsoffarmgreen@gmail.com

We are going to work with the local Park Ranger and plan to get started ASAP.

We will need help planning what plants to install, planting and weeding so if you know anybody with a few hours spare over the next couple of months please contact us.
FFG 2017 Aims:

Fundraising to buy new park equipment, so any fundraising ideas greatly appreciated!

Getting the word out about our project across the city and to raise awareness of how the Bevendean community want more support and better resources

Planting bee and butterfly friendly flowers around the park and running four workshops for the community about our local nature and wildlife.
